Export video, GIF & images

When your animation is ready, export it to share anywhere. Your exports are never watermarked, what you make is yours.

How to export

  1. Tap Export / Share in the top bar.
  2. Choose a format, resolution, and frame rate.
  3. Tap export, then share or save the result.

Formats

  • Video (MP4): the best all-rounder for sharing to Messages, social apps, or saving to Photos. Includes your sound.
  • Animated GIF: silent, loops automatically, great for chats and the web.
  • MP4 (HEVC): a higher-efficiency video (smaller files at the same quality). Pro.
  • APNG and PNG Sequence: a transparent animated PNG, or a ZIP of every frame as a separate image, for bringing frames into another app. Pro.

Resolution

  • Free exports render up to 1080p.
  • Pro adds canvas-native / up to 4K, so you can export at the full size you drew at.

Frame rate

The export frame rate starts from your project's frame rate and you can change it here. Free exports go up to 12 fps; Pro unlocks 24, 30, and 60 fps.

Share anywhere (YouTube, Messages, Photos…)

After exporting, the share sheet lets you send your movie to any app on your iPad, including YouTube, Messages, Mail, or Save to Photos. Whichever apps you have installed show up as options.

No watermark, ever

DoodLoop never stamps a logo on your work. There is an optional "Made with DoodLoop" credit you can turn on if you want to give a shout-out, but it is off by default and never forced.

Save to Photos

Exporting as MP4 or GIF and choosing "Save Video/Image" puts it straight in your Photos, ready to post. The first time, iPad may ask permission to add to your photo library.

DoodLoop is proprietary software. No ads, no tracking, your files stay yours.
