Your files, backup & restore

DoodLoop is built around a simple promise: your work is yours. Every project is a real file you can see, copy, and keep.

Organizing with Groups

On the home screen, switch between All and Groups at the top.

• Your stacks: make a named group ("New Group"), then add projects to it from a project's menu (⋯ → Groups). A project can be in more than one group. This is just organization: your .doodloop files never move.
• Automatic rows: DoodLoop also shows smart rows that need no setup: Recent, Earlier, Small projects, and Large projects.

Projects are real files

Each project is a .doodloop file stored in the iPad's Files app under On My iPad › DoodLoop. Because it is an ordinary file, you can:

• Copy it to iCloud Drive, a USB drive, or a computer.
• AirDrop it to another iPad.
• Duplicate or rename it in Files.

Nothing is locked inside the app, and there is no account or cloud you depend on.

Saving

There is no Save button, DoodLoop saves your work continuously as you draw. When you leave a project, it is already safe.

Back up everything at once

To keep a safety copy of your whole library:

1. Open Settings in the app.
2. Choose a Backup folder (in iCloud Drive or Files).
3. Tap Back Up All Now, or turn on Auto-backup, which copies your projects to that folder each time you leave the app.

Restoring is just as easy: import a backed-up .doodloop file with the Import button on the home screen.

Recently Deleted

Deleted a project by mistake? Open Recently Deleted to get it back. Projects you delete are kept here for a while before they are gone for good, so an accidental tap is not a disaster.

Moving to a new iPad

Copy your .doodloop files to the new iPad (via iCloud Drive, AirDrop, or a backup folder) and import them. Your projects, layers, frames, and sound come right along.
