Troubleshooting

My import did nothing

A large FlipaClip project can take a while to import, watch for the progress bar. If nothing happens at all, make sure you picked a .fc file and that it is a FlipaClip project. See Import.

The fill leaks past my lines

Your outline probably has tiny gaps. Turn up Close gaps in the Fill settings, and raise the Threshold a little if the lines are soft. See Fill.

Color does not reach the edges of a shape

Raise the Threshold so the fill flows across soft, anti-aliased edges. See Fill.

My Apple Pencil pressure does not seem to do anything

Check that Pressure → Size is turned up in the brush settings, and note that fingers have no pressure, this only applies to the Apple Pencil. See Brushes.

Smudge or blur feels slow

On a large canvas with a very big brush, each stroke does a lot of work and may take a moment to finish. Try a smaller brush, or zoom to work on a smaller area.

I ran out of layers or frames

There are generous limits to keep the app fast. Merge or delete a layer you no longer need, or remove frames you are not using.

Playback or recording does not work in the Simulator

Sound recording and reliable audio playback need a real iPad, they do not run in the iPad Simulator.
