Welcome to DoodLoop
DoodLoop is a frame-by-frame animation app for iPad. You draw a picture, draw the next one slightly different, and DoodLoop flips through them to make a moving cartoon, exactly like a flipbook, but on your iPad with layers, color, sound, and one-tap sharing.
It is made for anyone who likes to draw: kids making their first cartoon, students, doodlers, and animators who want a clean, fast tool without the clutter.
What makes DoodLoop different
- No ads, ever. Nothing interrupts you while you create.
- No watermarks. What you export is your art, clean, with nothing stamped on top.
- Your files stay yours. Every project is a real file in the iPad's Files app. You can back it up, copy it to a computer, or move it anywhere. It is never locked inside the app.
- Free to start. Everything you need to make and share an animation is free. An optional one-time Pro unlock adds pro-level output. There is no subscription.
- Private. DoodLoop collects no data about you and needs no account to draw. See Privacy.
How it works, in one minute
- You make a project (your animation) with a canvas size and frame rate.
- You draw on the canvas with brushes, on one or more layers.
- You add frames, changing the drawing a little each time. Onion skin shows you the previous frame as a faint ghost so you know what to change.
- You press play to watch it loop.
- You export it as a video or GIF, or just keep the file and come back later.
What you need
- An iPad running iPadOS 18 or later.
- A finger works great. An Apple Pencil adds pressure and tilt for more expressive strokes, but it is not required.
