Shapes & Symmetry
Shapes
The Shapes tool draws clean geometry instead of freehand lines.
- Tap the Shapes tool and choose a shape: Line, Rectangle, Ellipse, Triangle, Pentagon, Hexagon, Star, or Heart.
- Set the Size (line thickness) and Opacity.
- Drag on the canvas from one corner to the other. The shape follows your drag, and is drawn when you lift.
Shapes use the current brush color and paint onto the current layer, so a single Undo removes the whole shape.
Symmetry
Symmetry mirrors your strokes as you draw, so both sides stay identical, perfect for faces, wings, mandalas, and patterns.
The quick toggle
When a drawing tool is selected, a Symmetry button sits in the bottom-left canvas cluster (next to the ruler):
- Tap it to turn symmetry on and off instantly (the guide lines appear right away). DoodLoop remembers your last mode.
- Touch and hold it to pick the mode.
Symmetry modes
- Vertical: mirrors left and right.
- Horizontal: mirrors top and bottom.
- Quadrant: mirrors into all four corners at once.
Symmetry works with the brush, eraser, and shapes.
